Civil War Log Cabin Quilt

This entire quilt was made with Civil War Reproduction fabrics.
There are 880+ 1" "logs" in this quilt.
The Log Cabin blocks are laid out in the pattern called "Dirty Windows".
The quilt was professionally quilted by a local, award winning, long-armer.
This quilt was definately a labor of love!!! It's an heirloom quilt. This quilt is a perfect way to show how you feel for someone or a treat for yourself.
Makes a wonderful wedding gift, birthday, anniversary, any special occasion.
It's called a "Grandmother's Flower Garden" because of the block that makes up the center of the quilt.
The block was traditionally piece...by hand! The blocks were pieced in assorted blues, greens, and reds. The border is a very soft, muted, shade of plum.
The entire center was hand-pieced and took a year and a half to complete. The borders were machine-pieced.
It was quilted by an award winning, local, long-armer.

This beautiful quilt was made with warm browns, tans, blues, purples, red, and green tones/prints. It was bound with a rich red tone-on-tone floral print. The backing is small flowers in the same rich tones.
The entire quilt was made with fabrics by Kansas Troubles (many fabrics from their Garden line). The pattern is "Snail's Trail"...thus the combined name "Snails in the Garden".
It was quilted by a local, award-winning, long-armer. The quilted pattern is "swirly".

This beautiful quilt was made with rich earth tone colored fabrics. Quilted "dragonflies" fly among the "clovers". Look closely at the additional pictures and you'll see the "dragonflies".
It was machine pieced and bound by myself. A local, award winning long armer quilted it.
This quilt's name comes from a combination of the quilted design (dragonflies) and the name of the pattern.

This is a great take on the traditional log cabin pattern. All the "logs" are "crazy"...they go every which way and vary in size and width.
The quilt is very scrappy. There are many types of different fabrics through-out. The back fabric is a Civil War reproduction print.
It was machine pieced and bound by me. It was quilted by a local, award winning, long-armer.

This is a simply BEAUTIFUL quilt.
It was made with plaids and cotton fabrics in rich chocolate and soft pink tones.
A rich brown, tone-on-tone, floral print was used for the binding. A pink and brown plaid fabric was used for the backing.
It's been pre-washed and dried to remove all shrinkage. It measures 59" x 59". It was quilted by an award winning long-armer.

This beautiful quilt was made with the "churn dash" block.
Can you see how the smaller churn dashes make up the larger churn dash (when seen at a distance)?
Pastels, florals, and a variety of prints were used in piecing this quilt. A LUSH sage Minkee was used for the back. A coordinating stripe print was used for the binding.
The quilt was quilted by a local long-armer. Dogwood flowers were the pattern quilted.
